Upgrading Mac Pro's Hard Disk

I found a cheapest way to upgrade your Mac Pro’s Hard Drive. Here in the UAE, 1TB Western Digital external HD cost only AED359 ($97.5), compared to an internal HD from Apple store will cost you about AED1,600 ($434.8). Luckily, this external HD is compatible with Mac Pro’s Hard Drive Bay. So, without further ado, here’s how you open a Western Digital Hard Drive and use it on your Mac Pro.

Remove the two rubbers located under the External Hard Drive

Underneath the rubber, there will be a lock. Using a flat screwdriver, apply a small amount of pressure to release the front plastic casing to its back.

You can keep the motherboard for troubleshooting other SATA hard drives, so don’t throw this away.
